How to create a scene?

After clicking on Create scene or on Edit near a scene the editor will open.

Scene Editor

Allows you to change different Scene settings:

1 Media management menu

2 Back & Save

3 Aspect Ratio Picker

Media management menu

Choose between different Media categories to add media files to your Scene.

You can add already uploaded media to the scene by clicking on the +1 button next to them in the Media library.

If the content you want is not listed you can upload it by clicking the Upload media2.

Back & Save

Click X to leave the editor, Save to save the change or Save & Publish to both save and Publish the scene to your screens.
Changes are not auto saved as in Scene Editor.

Aspect Ratio Picker

Change between different aspect ratios. You can also Create custom aspect ratios for more advanced use cases.

Editor Mode

Switch between Compact, Advanced and Interactive modes. This selection can be made at the top right corner of the scene editor.

When Compact mode is selected, all content is displayed for the duration of the longest element in the scene. For example, if one video is 10 seconds long and another is 30 seconds long, all elements will loop, and the scene will have a total duration of 30 seconds.

This mode is ideal for situations where synchronization of all elements to the same duration is needed without detailed configuration.
We recommend primarily using the compact mode for simplicity and ease of use.

When Advanced mode is selected, a playback panel will appear under the Scene. With its help user has full control over the duration of each media element in the scene. Use the timeline to set exact playback duration of each element. This mode is intended for users who need detailed and specific timing settings for their scenes, allowing for the creation of more complex and dynamic presentations.

If you can’t see the playback panel, try zooming out the Scene first.

Note that this mode is not ideal for content where the duration is not known in advance such as Instagram Feed, RSS Feed or Playlists.

When Interactive mode1 is selected, the new Slides2 functionality will appear in the Media management menu.

Interactive mode is only available while the Scene is in the Compact mode.

Slides allow you to create a separate screens with different visuals and set up auto-switching between them. They are best suited to set up kiosk visuals, with each slide representing a different screen.

1 Click on the boxes to switch between slides.

2 Change the slide's name, set it as a default slide (by clicking the star icon), duplicate it or delete it.

3 Click here to see the preview of the chosen slide.

4 Choose a slide, the current slide should automatically switch to.

5 Click here to create a new slide. Switch to different tabs (ex. media, Apps) to add content to it.

Note: If you disable interactivity, it will remove all content except the default slide. This cannot be undone.

Scene Preview

Click on Media boxes inside of the preview window to edit them.

After you click on them, new editing window will open, allowing you to set up the medial file.

Different media categories have different settings.

Media Layers

Represent an overview of all the items within the scene. Each Media item has its own "layer." You can adjust the order of the layers by using the small up and down icons to bring the item forward or backward.

Timeline

Allows you to modify the timing of the elements. However, we advise not changing the timing of content items when one of them is a Playlist.

Zoom settings

Allows you to change Scene's zoom settings. Click on the icons in order to:

Zoom out,
See current zoom %. Click to reset it to 100%.
Zoom in.
Screen icon - reset zoom to 100%.

Create Scene from template

After clicking on From template the Scenes template menu will open.

Here you can choose between the below pre-set templates, that will help to create a foundation for your Scenes:

Menu board - contain information about dishes, drinks, menus, daily specials and their prices;
Promotion - sales, happy hours and new arrivals;
Branding - welcome screens, opening hours or a story about your business;
Information - news, weather, wayfinding, today's schedule;
Social media - reviews, posts from your own feed;
Interactive- better used for screens people touch, like kiosks. Contain ratings, catalogues, self service information;
Queue - order numbers and who's being served next.

After you choose a category Template settings menu will open. From this menu you can:

1 Preview all available templates.

2 Search for specific templates via a search bard or use filters. Click on the text bubbles to narrow down your preference. After you click on a bubble the template previews on the right will change according to your preference.

Click on Clear all or on the cross near the chosen items to remove them from filters.

3 Switch between Landscape and Portrait oriented templates. You can click on the aspect ratio button to modify the template accordingly.

After you are done selecting a template, click on the template itself to choose it as a basis for your Scene. A new window with a preview will open, click on Create scene button to use this template in a new scene.

You can adjust the colours, fonts and text in the Scene editor after creating the scene.

If you chose Menu board template, you will be asked to choose between Static and Daily menus, as well as what menu the template should display - an example one or an existing one( then choose an existing menu from the drop-down menu to showcase).
