Automatic imports of menu boards from Septim

First, install our SM Septim Agent, if you don't have the installation file, contact our technical support to get one.

Open the app and you should see this:

The "Look Ahead Days" means how many days in advance should the system load the menu boards. We recommend setting this to at least two days.

You can keep the URL as it is unless you use on-premise deployment of ScreenManager CMS.

Insert the API key and API secret. If you don't have those, contact our customer support to get them.

After this, the system tests the connection to our servers and you can proceed to setting up the connection to your Septim instance.

Click on the "Add store" button and provide your Septim credentials from the database.

The "Store ID" input is the identifier you will use to pair the exported menu boards from this agent and a Scene in ScreenManager where the data will be displayed. So a good name is the name of your current branch or its address. Please, remember or write down the Store ID so you can use it later to reference the menu boards from this Septim instance.

Then select which languages you want to extract and then enter the Septim DB connection details including certificates used for authentication.

After this step, the app will check the connection to the database and let you know about any errors. If there are none, it will start with the extraction of the data from Septim to ScreenManager.

Now you can go to ScreenManager, create a new Septim Menu Board app, enter the "Store ID" and see the menu boards.

The app will automatically start when you restart your computer and when you close it, it will be hidden in the system tray from where you can open it again.
